As the weeks are passing by us Rosemont High School is full speed ahead with getting all of our community events planned for the Spring.

The PTSA and Rosemont High have been working extremely hard to put together our next few events.

Some information about the events:

The whole month of April we will be having a Community Clothing Drive, this will allow us to take all sorts of items to give back to programs and people in need as well it will help the Class of 2016 raise money for their Safe & Sober Grad Night that they have been working to fund. We will have drop off days on April 11th, 12th (from 11am-1pm) and 26th.

April 11th from 5-9 we will hold our Annual Essence of Rosemont, this event brings together all of our elementary and junior high and high school families. We have performers from all grades and all talents, we have food and vendors galore. This is also a drop off location and night for the clothing drive

April 26th will be our very first annual Community 5K Run. We have taken it to the streets...literally! With the help of CHP and Local Business we are putting on a RUN THRU ROSEMONT!! Registration will include a t-shirt. The whole community is involved in this event somehow. This event is going to very exciting and so much fun and you don't have to run either! You can Jog, Walk or Run, even push your young ones in a stroller. This is also a drop off location for the clothing drive (9am-1pm)

I encourage all of you to come and join in on the fun at these events and donate your stuff you’re just not using or wearing anymore to a great cause. For questions, contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

No, not the Ghostbusters! Your Sacramento Council PTA Board is here to serve you! Our primary objective is to grow and strengthen our units, and we will do that by providing the answers and support you need. To better facilitate your support and guidance requests, we have developed a matrix that aligns our Board Members to the areas for which they are responsible, and for which they will be your primary point-of-contact. To ensure that this matrix remains responsive, relevant, and inclusive, we will continually monitor and revise it based on your input. Sac Council Priorities PDF Print E-mail

The Sacramento Council of PTAs Board is dedicated to fulfilling its purpose of supporting units within the Sacramento City Unified School District boundaries. This purpose is the foundation for all of the work that we do, and ensures that we maintain close, meaningful connections with our membership.

To guide us as we carry out the work prescribed by the duties of our positions, our Board has identified four focus areas through which we will channel our efforts: Leadership Development, Outreach, Advocacy, and Technology. These four priority areas reflect the collective strengths and experience of our Board, and provide a compass for us all as we navigate the path that is our term of office.

Our ultimate goal is to provide clarity to our member units and community partners, and strengthen our organization by aligning our programs, services, and partnerships around this four-part matrix. The result of this redevelopment effort will be a much more responsive, efficient, and effective Sacramento Council of PTAs Board, and a much stronger organization as a whole.

As we work to fully implement our new processes and procedures, we thank you in advance for your patience, cooperation, support, and honest, constructive feedback. We are honored to serve you, and look forward to a fantastic 2013-2014 school year!

Every Child Means Every Child PDF Print E-mail

We at Sacramento Council PTA strongly believe in the PTA motto of every child, one voice. Our work has always been focused on positively impacting the lives of all children in the Sacramento City Unified School District footprint, as is evident through our long-standing PTA Children's Clothes Closet. Our new Board is focused on, and committed to, heightening our efforts to speak for every child, with one voice, through greater levels of inclusiveness.

We seek to build upon our long-standing practice of inviting parents, teachers, and staff from other parent groups, and move to a more engaging process of working collaboratively on projects and initiatives to grow the level of parent engagement in the decision-making processes across SCUSD.

We look forward to standing side beside our parent and teacher counterparts to strengthen and grow the parent voice, for every child.
